Chamber members to the rescue
To the editor:
I would like to thank the Chamber members who came to the rescue of the Pine Island Chamber of Commerce Welcome Center this past week. Upon discovering that we had problems with the toilets, a call was put in to Joel’s Plumbing. Tom came out the following day, assessed that the problem was with the septic. A quick call to Ray Clary at HONC set up a pump out – on a Saturday no less! Upon arriving at the Welcome Center on Monday morning, I was greeted with water on the floor in both bathrooms. Another call to HONC – Ray confirmed that his service man had pumped the septic on Saturday, followed by another call to Joel’s. Tom was back out later in the morning, repaired the clogged toilet, and placed a call to Paul at Island Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning, who handled the water removal in a very short time. The last step in the process was Leigh, one of our individual members, who volunteered and brought a fan to help dry up any residual moisture.
Guys – it is responsible members like you who took a potentially frustrating situation and straightened everything out so quickly. Thank you for your prompt response to my calls! You all deserve an “atta boy” from me.
