One of Lee County’s most wanted now In custody
On Monday, Feb. 1, 2010, members of the United States Marshals Regional Fugitive Task Force, consisting of members of the Lee County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Warrants Unit, United States Marshals Office and Florida Department of Law Enforcement, responded to 1514 Edgewater Circle, Fort Myers, in reference to a fugitive from justice. When investigators arrived on scene, they made contact with the wanted individual, identified as Jarvis Sherard Jenkins (DOB 2/7/86). He was taken into custody without incident.
Jenkins had an active warrant for charges of Burglary to a Residence, Grand Theft of a Firearm, and Grand Theft. He had been one of Lee County’s Most Wanted Fugitives since November 2009. Jenkins also had two additional warrants for Violation of Probation, stemming from two separate arrests for cocaine possession. He had violated the terms of his probation several different ways, including being charged with the burglary and thefts referenced above.
Information obtained through the investigation into Jenkins’ whereabouts led authorities to his friend’s home in Fort Myers. He is currently in custody at the Lee County Jail. His last known address is listed as his friend’s home, located at 1514 Edgewater Circle, Fort Myers.
