By Staff | Jan 12, 2010

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office is seeking help in identifying the gunman who held up a Fort Myers drug store.
The office received a 911 call at 10:14 a.m. Tuesday in reference to an attempted armed robbery of the CVS Pharmacy at 9170 Daniels Parkway.
Responding deputies were told by witnesses a white male wearing a dark blue or grey hooded sweatshirt had gone to the pharmacy counter and demanded drugs. The man stated he had a gun. When the would-be robber was not given the drugs, he fled, officials said.
Deputies set up a perimeter and conducted a thorough search of the area. K9 and Aviation units assisted but the suspect was not located.
Officials have released photos of the suspect.
Anyone who can help identify this individual is asked to call the Lee County Sheriff’s Office at (239) 477-1000, or the Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800- 780-TIPS (8477). All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for up to $1,000 in cash rewards.
