Next month’s roster of activities at Pine Island Public Library offers topics for all ages. The following activities are free to the public:

Adults

Chess Anyone?

3 p.m. Fridays, Dec. 11, 18

Rise to the chess challenge and join the fun. Everyone is welcome. Chess sets provided or bring a personal chess set, if preferred.

Family

Family Storytime

10:30 a.m. Thursdays, Dec. 10, 17

This program is for the whole family and lasts about 30 minutes. Registration is required.

n The Frog Prince

6 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30

Come and enjoy the puppet show “The Frog Prince,” presented by Puppets to Go. This enchanting fairy tale has a few surprises. For story-lovers of all ages. Sponsored by Friends of the Pine Island Public Library.

Kids Read Down Fines

— 4 – 6 p.m. Wednesdays, Dec. 16, 30

— 1 – 3 p.m. Saturdays, Dec. 12, 26

Do you have library fines? Take care of them by reading! Children and teens can earn a $2 coupon for every 15 minutes of reading during the allotted time in the designated area of the library. For ages 18 and younger.

n What Can You Do with a T-Shirt?

5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16

Bring some old t-shirts or use those provided to make “new” clothes or bags which you can use for gifts. The only limit is your imagination!
