A Cape Coral SWAT team entering a home that was reported as the site of a possible hostage situation found no one home but did find indications of a grow house operation.
Earlier this afternoon, Cape Coral Police received a call from Homestead Police that a walk-in said that a hostage was being held at 1627 S.W. 14th Terrace.
Units responded to the home and set up a perimeter.
The SWAT unit entered the home shortly after 3:30 p.m. Friday, conducted a thorough search, and found no one present.
They did find indications that the home was being used as a grow house, officials said.
