Two Cape Coral residents were arrested and charged Tuesday for the possession and sale of drugs including 10 felony counts, according to officials.
Nicholas Christopher Stone, 20, and Jami R. Wheeler, 19, both of 918 S.W. 47th Terrace, are each charged with one count of trafficking in cocaine, two counts of possession of a controlled substance and three counts of possession of paraphernalia.
Stone is also charged with two counts of the sale of cocaine, one count of the sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a school and one count of the sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a place of worship.
According to officials, the Cape Coral Police Department’s Vice, Intelligence, and Narcotics Unit executed a search warrant at a home at 916 S.W. 47th Terrace, following a monthlong investigation where undercover detectives purchased cocaine from Stone on four separate occasions.
During a search of the home, detectives seized 36 grams of cocaine, 27 Roxicodone tablets, three Xanax tablets, a black digital scale and baggies with cocaine residue, officials reported.
Stone and Wheeler were booked and transported to the Lee County Jail in good condition. They were both in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.
During the monthlong investigation, detectives reportedly purchased cocaine from Stone within 1,000 feet of Cape Coral High School and Evangelical Presbyterian Church on two separate occasions.
