To the editor:
I wanted to take time and thank the following people for their help with our charity fishing tournament, “We’re Fishing For Pete’s Sake”, hosted by Bert’s Bar and Grill on Nov. 21 and 22.
First I would like to thank Bernard and Laura of Bert’s Bar and Grill for letting us hold our event at Bert’s.
Second I would like to thank Kim and the rest of the staff at Bert’s for being great hosts and for taking good care of the tournament volunteers and participants.
Thank you Steve Phanco of Island Cast Net and Shrimp Company for building and donating the custom red and black cast net we raffled. Thank you Nancy Goodwin, Jean Healy, Karen Burns, Judy Crago, and Carol Ann Ainsco for their help with selling raffle tickets and 50/50 tickets. Thank you Dana Goodwin for being our weigh master, Diane Mahyer for painting the design for the T-shirts, and Motor City Josh and Gary and Kari for the great music they provided throughout the day.
