CCCIA volunteers aiding Soup Kitchen

By Staff | Nov 18, 2009

Keith Moyer, vice president of Building Operations at Wright Construction and chair of the CCCIA Image/Membership Development Committee, is spearheading a rehabilitation project on the CCMI Soup Kitchen in Fort Myers.
The Soup Kitchen provides a noon time meal six days a week to men, women and children; packaged meals and beverages for the homebound hungry; bagged lunches for the local labor pool; two nutritious meals a day for the children in their childcare center; and a pantry that provides emergency groceries to families in need.
The following items are needed to finish the project:
* A concrete walkway 15 foot wide by 110 feet long (walkway)
* Approximately 70 feet of gutters in the breezeway
* Approximately 80 feet of 6-foot-high fence w/ gates
* Landscape materials including 45 3-gallon crotons and six bottle brush trees
If you are interested in participating contact Moyer via e-mail at keithm@wrightg.com as soon as possible. The work is under way now and organizers are anxious to get it done due to Thanksgiving being next week. Currently, there are nearly 3,000 homeless men, women and children residing in Lee County. Let’s help our local Soup Kitchen continue to feed those in need during this holiday season and throughout the year, organizers said.
