Steven Paul Mears

Steven Paul “Steve” Mears, 54, of Ocala, formerly of Pine Island and Cape Coral, passed away on Monday, Nov. 9 2009 at Munroe Regional Medical Center. He was born in Wichita, Kansas and moved to Ocala in 20005 from Cape Coral. Steve spent most of his life as a Heavy Machinery Welder. He loved fishing, hunting, NASCAR racing, coaching football, baseball and softball, but most of al loved spending time with his loving family and friends.

He is survived by his daughter, Jessica R. Mears of Jacksonville; his son Justin of Fort Myers; his two brothers Dennis Mears of Fort Myers and Kelly Mears of Clayton AL; his two sisters, Susan Meler of Pine Island and Kathy Carceau of Fort Myers; also his loving parents, Francis and Jean Mears of Clayton, AL.

The family has requested a private family service. The family also requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Humane Society of Marion County, 701 N.W. 14th Road, Ocala, Fla. 34475, in memory of mr. Steven Paul “Steve” Mears.
