The Matt Smith Memorial Foundation and Highway Technologies will present Mulligan Matty’s 3rd Annual Golf Classic on Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Royal Tee Country Club in Cape Coral. Those who would like to participate in the four-person scramble will pay an entry fee of $80 per person which includes refreshments, lunch, giveaways and more.

Prizes will be awarded for longest drive, closest to the pin and the straightest drive. All proceeds from the event will go to the Tony McKenna Scholarship Fund. The money from the fund goes to benefit a Mariner High School football player.

The award is presented each year at Mariner in memory of Tony McKenna, who was struck and killed by lightening while exiting the football field at Mariner High School 20 years ago.

The player who receives the scholarship award is selected by Mariner coaches in a blind vote which is only revealed to them on the night when McKenna’s parents are present.
