The Beacon of H.O.P.E. appreciates Barbara and Buzz La Plant’s letter last week in the Eagle regarding the Pine island Cares Health Expo.

This event was a direct result of identified needs on Pine Island. The Beacon of H.O.P.E. operates every day to help the needy of our community. The clients seen each month of this summer exceeded all clients seen last year. Clearly there is a need for the services we provide. With this increase in demand for help from Pine Island residents, the Beacon must expand its space. More room will allow us to enhance the services we already provide as well as add needed programs.

Please consider a donation in any amount to assist us with this expansion which will directly help the Pine Island community.
