St. James City native, Meaghan Thompson, daughter of Lennie Thompson and Becky Thompson was married in Johnston, Iowa on Friday, Sept. 18, 2009. Meaghan married Damon Bennewitz who grew up in Jefferson, Iowa. They met back in 2004 when Meaghan was working at a western store and Damon was a customer in Des Moines, Iowa. After a five year courtship the couple said their vows. They currently live in Des Moines, Iowa.
