Public hearing set for Bob and Annie’s
In response to a request for re-zoning, a public hearing to determine the fate of Bob and Annie’s Boat Yard will take place Thursday, Oct. 15. The Lee County Hearing Examiner will take public input on the matter beginning at 9 a.m. in the Hearing Examiner’s Meeting Room at 1500 Monroe Street in Fort Myers.
Those interested in offering opinions must do so in person or through counsel or an authorized agent. Testimony must be a legal augment or other evidence that should be considered by the Board of County Commissioners.
Following this public hearing, the Hearing Examiner will render a decision with regard to the re-zoning request for Bob and Annie’s and the case will be scheduled for another public hearing before the County Commissioners, who will review the hearing examiner’s recommendation and make a final decision. By law, those who did not speak at the Hearing Examiner’s meeting will not be entitled to speak before the County Commissioners on this matter.
The owners of Bob and Annie’s have requested the re-zoning in an effort to bring the property into compliance and have asked that the boat yard be zoned as Planned Development rather than the current zoning of Commercial.
Copies of the staff report that will be presented to the Hearing Examiner are available to be reviewed at the Department Services Division located at 1500 Monroe Street in Fort Myers.
