Mack to host Health Care Forum tonight
Congressman Connie Mack (FL-14) announced today that Dr. Allen Weiss, the president and CEO of NCH Healthcare System, will join Mack’s health care forum as a panelist. Mack’s health care forum will take place on Friday, Oct. 2, 2009 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harborside Event Center in downtown Fort Myers.
Mack and a panel of experts in the field of health care will answer questions about the current health care debate and pending legislation in Congress. Panelists include; Robert Sanchez, Director of Public Policy at the James Madison Institute; Edward Morton, Managing Director of Wasmer, Schroeder and Co., Inc. and former Chief Executive Officer of NCH Healthcare System; Ambassador Al Hoffman, President of Hoffman Partners, former U.S. Ambassador to Portugal and the founder of WCI Communities, Inc.; Jim Nathan, President and Chief Executive Officer of Lee Memorial Health Systems; and Dr. Allen Weiss, President and Chief Executive Officer, NCH Healthcare System.
The event is free and open to the public. Space is limited; individuals should register in advance on Mack’s Web site or by calling one of his offices.
Doors at Harborside Event Center will open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2 and we ask that everyone be seated by 6:45 p.m. Seating at the event is first come, first served.
