City to kick off first Cape Bike Night for season this weekend
The city of Cape Coral will host the seventh year of Cape Bike Night from 5-10 p.m. Saturday.
Parks and Recreation special events coordinator Todd King said the city hosts four Cape Bike Nights per year, which are very family friendly. Saturday’s event is the first one of the season.
“It is the most well attended and popular event in the city,” he said.
Cape Bike Nights are free events, where individuals can listen to music and see custom bikes. They are held on Southeast 47th Terrace between Vincennes Boulevard and Coronado Parkway.
King said Cape Bike Nights are also great events because “people can ride in with their friends and ride home with their friends.”
Participants have the opportunity to have fun while enjoying food, music and activities. Budweiser and Pepsi will supply the beverages for the event.
King said that this year Cape Bike Nights will feature activities where individuals can ride and try to win prizes, which is hosted by Harley Davidson of Fort Myers.
“We look forward to seeing all of our biker friends and family,” he said, adding that he believes there are a great deal of people who wish to celebrate and have a good time.
“Come on out as a community member and have a good time,” King said.
The sponsors for the event include Associates and Bruce L. Scheiner Personal Injury Lawyers, Harley Davidson of Fort Myers, State Farm, Budweiser, Pepsi, 94.5 Classic Rock with Meridan Broadcasting and Cat Country 100.1.
