To the Editor:

Each week, as groceries are purchased at Winn-Dixie, to stock the Pine Island Food Pantry, we are able to use the $10-off coupons donated by friends, neighbors and islanders who cannot make use of the coupons themselves. This is a huge benefit to the Food Pantry, as we buy in large quantities and can use the discounts on our purchases.

The volunteers and recipients of your generosity want you to know how much your coupons are appreciated. For those of you who drop them off in the food box at Winn-Dixie, we want you to know they are a big help and give us money off on all our purchases. It’s just like handing us a personal $10 check each time you drop a coupon into the food collection box.
