The Cape Coral Police Department will host a free seminar for small business owners on Employee Fraud on Thursday, Sept. 24, at the Hampton Inn and Suites in Downtown Cape Coral (619 SE 47th Terrace). The seminar will be from 9 a.m. – noon.
The seminar is being presented in partnership with the FGCU Small Business Development Center. Judy Pultro, SBDC, and Cape Coral Police Officer Jerry Moll will be joined at the seminar by Paul Poland with the State Attorney’s Office and Laura Rhoad, the HR Director for Sunshine Ace Hardware.
Topics of the seminar include: Statistics for employee theft, preventing and identifying employee fraud/theft, criminal charges and the prosecution process for employee theft, background and reference checks, conducting an internal investigation, and other key issues.
