Elaine Jeannette Elizabeth Jordan

Born in Suring, Wisconsin on Feb. 1, 1941 to her late parents, Walter Peter Holl and Emma Elizabeth Sonnenberg, Elaine passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2009 in Ellijay, Georgia.

Elaine moved to Pine Island in December of 1974 and pursued her writing career for the Pine Island Eagle and soon became Editor and then published her first book “Pine Island, the Forgotten Island” followed by “Tales of Pine Island” and the “1001 Nights of Seafood Delights.”

After getting re-married, she packed up and moved to Ellijay, GA in 1988 and continued writing her books on Indian history in the North Georgia mountains.

Elaine is survived by her children and in-laws, Kelly Blohm and Craig Womer of Ellijay, GA; Karen K. Blohm and Leesha “Kat” Davis of Ellijay, GA; Jennifer Buckner and Rick Adkins of Canton, GA and Wendie and Mike Neel of Lakeland, FL.

Grandchildren; Waylon, Jessika and David Albertson of Ellijay, GA; Andrew, Brandon and Cameron Birdsall of Lakeland, FL and Cody Nathanael and Emmie Elaine Buckner of Ellijay, GA. Great-grandchildren; Tyler Nicholson of Ducktown, Tenn. Extended family; Nancy Dean and Charlie Brown of Ellijay, GA and Daniel Buckner of Ellijay, GA>

A personal memorial will be held at a later date.

Special thanks goes out to all who have offered their condolences and help to the family.

She was greatly loved and will be missed by all who knew her.
