By Staff | Jan 7, 2009

Charlotte County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Bobby Jo Arrington, 18, of 8179 Heck Dr., North Fort Myers, this morning in connection with the shooting of a 17- year-old teen who was shot in the foot during an armed robbery Dec. 23.
Arrington, who was being held in the Lee County Jail on another charge, was charged with robbery with a firearm and aggravated battery using a deadly weapon, officials said.
The incident occurred at the end of Williams Drive in the southern part of the county near the Lee County line. This is where CCSO deputies have been cracking down on ATVs, vehicles, motorcycles, and various illegal activities in this problem area.
Two teens known to the victim left the area after shooting him and taking his personal items, officials said. The youth walked to his home nearby in Lee County and called the Lee County Sheriff’s Office which then notified the CCSO.
Arrington was transferred from the Lee County Jail to the Charlotte County Jail to face charges in the shooting/robbery incident.
The case is still under investigation. Arrington is being held on no bond.
