Tall trees near powerlines on the island should come down

To the editor:

Let's talk some common sense. Hurri-cane season is coming. Do you enjoy being without electricity? It's a huge job but we have to start somewhere. I'm talking about removing trees within 100 feet of power lines. Look at the trees north of Tropical Point Road where the electric lines cross Stringfellow Road. The next hurricane they are bound to come down on the electrical lines and clocking the road, stopping emergency vehicles from doing their job. If someone could organize a group of men to start cutting, it would be a great start.
