CCPD to hold inaugural Florida Gulf Coast Police K-9 Competition

The Cape Coral Police Department will hold the inaugural Florida Gulf Coast Police K-9 Competition Saturday, Jan. 6, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, at Sun Splash Family Waterpark located at 400 Santa Barbara Blvd., South.

This competition will feature K-9s and their handlers from agencies all around Southwest Florida.

Open to the public, the event is free to attend and free parking will be available on the Sun Splash grounds.

All proceeds and any donations will benefit the Cape Coral Animal Shelter, Paws for Patriots Foundation, and the Holiday Heroes Foundation.

Features of this exciting event include: Police K-9 Obstacle Course, Hardest Hitting Dog Competition, Fastest Dog Competition, K-9 & SWAT Demo and Display, Child ID Program, Vendor Expo and a Chili Cook-off.
