November 22, 2017
Special to The Eagle ( , Pine Island Eagle

What happens when you mix a great thrift store with a community of talented artists? Do yourself a big favor and stop by to experience Attic Crafts. Learn a new hobby, meet new friends or just get out of the house. Don't forget to do some Christmas shopping while you're here.

All classes start promptly at 1 p.m. and run no later than 3 p.m. at the Beacon classroom.

Local artist Marty Kendall kicks things off with her Sultry, Silk Bracelets Wednesday, Nov. 29. Guests will be astounded by what beautiful jewelry you can create with silk, buttons and beads!

Join Kendall again Wednesday, Dec. 13, for Make and Take Earrings or Necklace. They will go great with the bracelet made in November.

Audrey Mayrent shows how to make charming, individualized wrapping paper in her Rap and Wrap class. Enjoy holiday cookies and Christmas music while you learn a new craft. Also, expect a surprise!

Coming in January, Kayla shows how to make a crocheted bracelet! Using simple yarn and a few quick steps you'll be able to design beautiful and one of a kind wearable artwork.

To join Attic Craft classes, stop by the front desk at the Beacon of HOPE or call 239-283-5123. There are ten slots available for each class. Don't be left out! A donation of $25 per class is appreciated to cover material costs.
