Olde Florida Outpost to celebrate 1st birthday, host Marilyn Monroe look-alike contest June 17

On Saturday, June 17, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the Olde Florida Outpost will be celebrating its first 1st birthday party.

As part of the anniversary bash, Olde Florida Outpost will be holding a Marilyn Monroe look-alike contest with prizes being awarded to the first, second and third place finishers.

All attendees at the celebration will get to judge who will to go home with the prizes of the contest. Registration for the look-alike contest begins at noon on June 17, or you can pre-register prior to the day of the event and receive a $25 gift certificate to the Outpost as a thank you for early registration.

"Contestants don't have to don the trademark white dress, but any outfit spanning Ms. Monroe's career," said Heather Schwarz, owner of the Outpost.

Various other activities and fun will be available for party-goers throughout the event, including free door prizes, entertainment, refreshments, food and other surprises.
