By ED FRANKS ( , Pine Island Eagle

This Saturday, March 25, the 19th Annual Bobby Holloway Jr. Memorial Fishing Tourna-ment will be held at Pineland Marina.

"We have teamed this year with Pine Island Big Snook, sponsored by Environmental Concrete and Mater-ials," tournament director Ernestine Squires said. "The Big Snook Award not only ups the competition, but also gives us the opportunity to provide more enrichment for the youth of our community. We are all excited about this third year of the Big Snook Award."

Along with a day of fishing on Saturday, The Lil Bobbers' families were invited to the Kids Captains Meeting at Stonegate Bank Tuesday, March 21, at 6 p.m. There was lots of food and goodies for the kids and exciting activities for the children to participate in.

The 19th Annual Bobby Holloway Jr. Memorial Fishing Tourna-ment will be held at Pineland Marina Saturday, March 25.

The gathering gave participants a chance to meet with the captains and The Bobby Holloway Jr. Board and learn the story of Little Bobby Holloway Jr., who died in 1997 in a hunting accident at age 11. With the tournament, the Bobby Board, along with the charter captains, will be offering a lifetime experience, full day of fishing, fun and prizes for the kids. Please contact Jen Glass if you have a child that would like to participate at 851-8751.

Lil Bobbers Division is for the youth who do not have an opportunity to fish or a parent to go fishing with. There are 15 licensed captains who donate their time, talent and treasure to take those children fishing for the day. Eligible fish for children are biggest snook, biggest redfish, biggest trout and biggest ladyfish.

Tournament registration is $350 per four anglers and $50 for each additional angler. The entry fee includes Captains Dinner, ramp, parking, BBQ, fish fry and captains bag.
