Common sense lawmaking?

January 18, 2017

To the editor:

Well our illustrious politicians did it again. A law against texting and driving for kids under 18 years old.

Isn't it just as dangerous for adults? It seems common sense is never involved in their law-making.

Are our candidates for office chosen from a mental institute? Talking about laws, let's make a law where you can't grow big trees within a hundred feet of overhead electric lines. That would save us a lot of discomfort especially during hurricane season. And how about smart phones in school. Can they not get the answers of tests off the phone? And phones should not be allowed in the class or at least have them checked in.
