Seven Seas Bait and Tackle to hold monthly ‘Dock Parties’

February 3, 2016
By ED FRANKS ( , Pine Island Eagle

Seven Seas Bait and Tackle is holding a "Dock Party" the third Sunday of every month through June.

"The next dock party is Feb. 21st," Jim Frock said. "These dock parties came out of the barge parties and then the barge-less parties.

"But the original idea came from when I was a kid," Frock said. "When I was a kid in Ohio, we had a lake that was nearby with a bar/restaurant on the lake. People would pull their boats up, tie them down, listen to the music, and just have a great time. That's what I'm trying to recreate here.

"Due to the limited parking the whole idea is to make a party where people use their boats," Frock said. "So many boats just sit on the lifts and are not used. This gives them a reason to use their boats. So I invite everyone to just come and have fun."

Southwest Florida band Funkbone will be playing on Feb. 21. Insiders/Brother Love will perform on March 20 and Ellie Lee on April 16.
