Leo Lozier Jr

Leo Lozier Jr passed away peacefully Sunday morning on August 30th at Brookdale Cape Coral Assisted Living. Leo was born February 16, 1929 in Howland Maine; the son of Leo Lozier Sr and Helen Dionne.

Leo enlisted in the US Navy, served one tour and after his honorable discharge married Florence Prouix of Westbrook in 1950. Leo and Florence lived in Westbrook and then moved to Portland where he worked as a bus driver for Portland Coach. They moved to Scarborough where they raised their children. After moving to Scarborough, Leo went to work fo SD Warrens in Westbrook. After retiring in the early 80s Leo and Florence moved to Pine Island Florida where they resided for more than 25 years.

Leo was an avid cribbage player and played whenever he could and frequently enjoyed playing in tournaments. He loved repairing old clocks and creating and designing latch hook rugs and wall hangings. He also enjoyed going to yard sales and flea markets.

Florence passed away in 2005. Leo is survived by two brothers, Phillip and George and three sisters, Lillian, Elena and Alice.

Leo will be sadly missed by his children, three sons, Michael and his wife Linda, David, Paul and Jody Thurlow and three daughters, Deborah, Pauline McKinney and her husband, Merle and Christine Pinder and her husband Rob, 10 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and his many friends in Maine and Florida.

A memorable service will be held by his children at a later date.
