The Raymary Street Grill has added a new line of items to its menu - barbecue.

Bobby Holloway Sr. began barbecuing at the grill last Saturday. In spite of the rainy weather, the turnout was great.

"We wanted to add something new and different to our menu," owner Debbie Lytle said.

"We've been here a long time, since Hurricane Charlie, and serve breakfast all day long but we were looking for something to add for the lunch and dinner crowd. When Bobby Holloway Sr. contacted us about barbecue we thought it would be a perfect match to our menu and Bobby makes all his own sauces and cole slaw."

The barbecue will be available for lunch and dinner with the restaurant staying open two hours later on Friday and Saturday until 8 p.m.

"I've been away for 17 years," Bobby Holloway Sr. said. "I was born and raised here on Pine island, I used to be a firefighter and have always had a passion for barbecue. We're incorporating barbecue ribs, brisket, pulled pork, chicken and all the fixings such as baked beans and cole slaw. Barbecue is available 7 days a week for lunch and dinner."

The Raymary Street Grill is located at 7573 Raymary St. in Bokeelia.

Weekly hours at the restaurant ours are Sunday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., and Friday and Saturday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
