This Month in History: MOTI historical column comes to a close

April 23, 2014
By TIM KNOX , Pine Island Eagle

It is with deep regret that I will be discontinuing my weekly column. A new job started earlier this month does not allow the time necessary for historical research and writing.

Thank you for your comments and questions about the history of our wonderful island. Thank you also to Ed Franks and the Pine Island Eagle for allowing the opportunity to share a little history with you each week. Thank you Lynn for proof reading my articles.

This represents my 34th weekly column. A wide range of topics have been covered. I hope that through these months something in my column has connected with you, or brought back a special memory.

A Greek philosopher by the name of Heraclitus once said: "The only thing that is constant is change".
