To the editor:
Saturday, May 10, marks the 22nd anniversary of one of America's great days of giving - the Letter Carriers Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive.
Each year on the second Saturday in May, Lee County letter carriers and volunteers collect non-perishable food donations from customers. These donations go directly to local food pantries to provide food to people in Lee County who need our help.
Participating in this year's Letter Carrier Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is simple. Just leave a non- perishable food donation in a bag by your mailbox on Saturday, May 10, and your letter carrier will do the rest.
Winter residents leaving before May 10, can drop off non-perishable food donations at the Bokeelia or Pineland Post Offices. All food collected will go to the Pine Island Food Pantry.
Thank you for helping letter carriers in our fight to end hunger.
