Skippers needed for 3rd Annual Blind Fishing Tournament

Event this Saturday out of the Cape Coral Yacht Club

March 19, 2014
Pine Island Eagle

The SWFCB 3rd Annual Blind Fishing Tournament is Saturday, March 22, out of the Cape Coral Yacht Club. There are currently 26 teams and nine more boats are still needed.

Volunteer captains can make someone's day and take them fishing. If you only were able to fish one day a year, how excited would you be? All you have to do is take a person fishing who would never get the chance to fish out of a boat.

An awards dinner will be held following the weigh in at Cape Coral Yacht Club. You don't have to fish Cape Coral. Many captains are driving to the Cape in the morning for pickup. Go to Pine Island to fish your favorite spots. Just have your angler back by 2 p.m.

Captains must be at the Yacht Club by 7 a.m. for free coffee and donuts. A captains meeting will be held at the Cape Coral Power Squadron at 6:30 p.m., Friday, March 21, with a party following at Back Streets Sports Bar.

Please contact Michael Ulrich 1-239-540-7431, 1-239-565-5845 or e mail mulrich@centurylink.net.

The winning team captain receives a one-year free membership to Sea Tow. Free 100 shrimp can be picked up at The Crazy Lure bait and tackle shop, 4839 Vincennes St., Cape Coral, or Old Pine Island Marina, 3187 Stringfellow Road, St. James City.
