To the editor:
When my friend and I walk our dogs on the bike path, we always walk with our dogs on our left side. This keeps us in between our dog, and any people, dog walkers or bicyclists passing us. It also keeps the dogs from possible lunging towards them. This is just a safety measure and common sense.
Also, when bicyclists are coming up behind us, could you please give us a warning - yell if you have to. Too many times they get right on top of us, and we and the dogs end up in the bushes.
If we know you're approaching, we'll move out of your way and let you pass.
This is just common courtesy. Thank you !
