"This year was our best year ever," said Martin Yaffey, Matlacha, vice president of the Matlacha Mariners. "And this check from Miceli's goes a long way towards helping us help the community."

"We raised the money through our food sales at the Seafood Festival & Car Show last week," Michael Miceli said. "There was such a great turnout, great weather and great community support - it was a great day overall. We served our 'Bada Bing' Shrimp (shrimp coated in a spicy sweet Thai chili sauce), magi magi, pickled jalapeno's, and it was the best year by far for us.

"We're happy to be here and able to donate this check for $1,100 to the Mariners," Miceli continued.

The Miceli family presented the check to John Jones, Roy Crukshank and Martin Yaffey from the Mariners.

"We want to say a special thank you to Miceli's for everything they do for our community," John Jones, board member, said. "They were one of our sponsors this year, and now they are going that extra mile by donating a portion of their proceeds."
