To the editor:

The Art Expo and Photography Show, held Feb. 21-22, wouldn't be possible without the support and continuing participation of the talented artists and photographers of Pine Island. I thank you all and look forward to working with you next year.

My tireless volunteers worked non -stop to make the show a success and a pleasurable experience for participants and visitors alike. Reception organizers Melissa Meyers, Linda Selleck, Golden Brush, Jodee Nelson Mc Collum and volunteers, I thank you all. One unsung hero is my husband, Wayne, who not only provides the show layout, set up, and tear down but most importantly, unconditional support.

Special recognition to Two Fish Inn and Corine Beving for their generous raffle donations. Thank you also to Walgreens, Winn-Dixie, Low Key Tiki, Ragged Ass, Sandy Hook, Little Lilly's Deli and Rachi Farrow for their donations. Recognition and thank you to Frank Tuma for playing during the reception and Peg and Bob Cullen for providing the musical ambience during the show.

Our show is visually announced and advertised each year by the creative genius of artist Rachi Farrow and her colorful and highly recognizable poster. Her continued support and participation is deeply appreciated.

The winner of the Two Fish Inn Raffle is Corine Beving. The winner of the original watercolor by Corine Beving is Matt Perreault and the winner of the Walgreen/restaurant raffle is Gary Abernathy. Wayne Harms won the mermaid painting "Chick of the Sea" by Rachi Farrow. Rachi said, "I had fun drawing up the guessing game and making it happen. And, I was happy to see folks wanting to win the painting."

All proceeds from the drawing and raffles go to support SJCCA.
