February 12, 2014
Pine Island Eagle

Pine Island Community Church is holding an old fashioned Sock Hop Friday, Feb. 21, from 710 p.m. at the church, at 5360 Doug Taylor Circle, St. James City. Proceeds from the dance are going to PICC'S Haiti Mission Team, which is now scheduled to leave on April 5 for a week of mission work directly benefiting children and adults in Haiti.

'50s & '60s music will be provided by DJ "Paul" and old-fashioned root beer floats, pop corn, hot dogs and Coke will be sold.

Everyone is encouraged to search their closets and dress in '50s & '60s style clothing. A prize will be awarded for the most "authentic" outfit.

Tickets are just $5 per person and may be purchased by calling the church office at 239-283-9944, from any PICC church member, or by going to the Trader's Hitching Post or Olde Fish House in Matlacha.

Only 120 tickets will be sold in advance of the dance, so don't wait; get your tickets today at any of the above locations!
