The second annual "Afternoon Delights" event will be held Sunday, Feb. 9, at Alden Pines Country Club.
"Last year more than 120 people worked their way through a room full of candy, wine and cheese," Tina Bush said. "Our first annual 'Afternoon Delights' was held in April last year and was a huge success, so we decided to continue this new tradition by making it an annual event - just in time for Valentine's Day."
This year the event will feature six wines for tasting from DFV Wines. There will be three red wines, two white wines and one dessert wine. There will also be two domestic beers and two import beers for tasting this year!
There will also be a Mystery Wine raffle, a silent auction and hand-painted wine glasses for sale at the event. And, Mel Meo is creating an original artwork for this event that will be auctioned off.
"Afternoon Delights" is being sponsored by the Matlacha Hookers to raise money for the Senior Programs at the Beacon of H.O.P.E. on Pine Island.
Alden Pines has graciously opened up its clubhouse for the day and is hosting this exclusive event. Tickets for the event are $25 and only 250 tickets will be available.
