Fire temporarily closes island Dairy Queen

December 18, 2013
Pine Island Eagle

A fire earlier this week temporarily closed the Dairy Queen at 10493 Stringfellow Road in St. James City.

According to Lisa Jolley, the manager at the Dairy Queen, the store is expected to reopen this Thursday, Dec. 19.

Jolley said the Dairy Queen will have food available Thursday and she hopes that ice cream will also be available at that time. If not, the ice cream will become available once it arrives at the store.

The fire broke out, she said, above a walk-in cooler and it was not known if there was any other structural damage.

To contact the Dairy Queen, call 239-283-9111.
