Viola May, 91, died Oct.18, 2013, in Cape Coral Hospital after a brief illness. Born Sept. 15,1922, in Galion Ohio, she was the daughter of George and Clara (Sampsel) Seitz.
Orville May, 95, died Nov. 7, 2013, in a Cape Coral Nursing Home. Born Sept. 10, 1918, in Phillips, Wis., he was the son of Floyd and Alma (Grosh) May.
They were preceded in death by their parents; Viola's sister, Edythe Keller, and brother Raymond Seitz; Orville's brother, Leslie May, and sister, Virgil Hall, and their daughter Janet Garner.

Orville and Viola are survived by daughters, Sharilyn Fluegge and Karen (Bob) Nagy of St. James City; son, David (Sue) May of Colorado; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
Orville and Viola were cottage parents and receiving unit supervisors at the Miami Children's Center in Maumee (1960-1966), and superintendent and matron of Allen Acres in Lima (1966-1979). They were blessed to be able to live their mission, working with children and preparing them for the future.
After retiring to Pine Island in 1979, they enjoyed traveling the USA every year in motorhomes and travel trailers.
Married on July 3, 1939, they recently celebrated their 74th anniversary with family in Gatlinburg.
They were longtime active members of The Pine Island United Methodist Church (34 years).
Viola was a member of Eastern Star, and Orville was a member of the Masons and SAR.

A memorial service will be held at the Pine Island United Methodist Church on Pine Island Sunday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m., with reception immediately following the service.
