Friends plan 'Gigantic Book Sale;' proceeds to benefit library

November 27, 2013
Pine Island Eagle

Your next treasure might be found at this exciting event. The Friends of the Pine Island Public Library, over 100 members strong, is sponsoring a "Gigantic Book Sale" Saturday, Dec. 7, at the Fishers of Men Lutheran Church, 10360 Stringfellow Road. The sale runs from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Items featured in the sale include pieces donated from private collections covering adult and children's fiction and non-fiction, as well as DVDs, CDs, audio books and videos.

Enjoy coffee, home baked goods and buy drawing tickets $1 each or 6 for $5. Drawing tickets can be purchased at the library Nov. 29 through Dec. 6 and will be available at the book sale. And it's all for a good cause - proceeds will go towards the purchase of materials and programs for our Pine Island Library.

The Friends of the Pine Island Public Library is a structured nonprofit association of individuals providing for various special needs of the Pine Island Library through community-based efforts. The group tends to the library's needs, generates new ideas, offers advice and encouragement, volunteers its time and energy, and secures financial support.

For additional information about our sale, contact Friends President Judy Hopkins at juhopkins@msn.com or call 425-346-7226.
