To the editor:
With this new tax added to our electric bill from L.C.E.C., I guess its called general service tax, how much is the city paying L.C.E.C. to be its tax collector and all the accounting fee costs?
Another question I couldn't get an answer for is, if I protest this additional charge on my electric bill, paying only the costs of my electric usage deducting the city's add on tax, will L.C.E.C. turn off my electric ?
If so, I guess when we need a pot hole filled or other general service requests we must call L.C.E.C. Does anyone know what the L.C.E.C. is charging the city for its book-keeping service; I am sure they are not doing it for free.
