'The Dartts' to perform at First Baptist Church of Matlacha

November 5, 2013
Pine Island Eagle

If variety is the spice of life, then Tracy Dartt and his gospel-singing family group, "The Dartts," are the perfect treat for the appetites of gospel music fans. The group's smooth blends and heartfelt presentations make it a favorite of folks from the ages of 1 to 100.

The Dartts, who will be performing at First Baptist Church of Matlacha Sunday, Nov. 10, at 6 p.m., write all of their own music.

Tracy Dartt is the author of the #1 hit gospel song, "God On The Mountain." This, and many of his other songs, have been recorded by some of the world's top Gospel musicians - songs like "The Last Sunday,", "With Him," and "Your Blesser Ain't Never Been Blessed,",to name a few.

The group consists of Tracy Dartt and his wife, Sharon, and their

youngest son, Stone Mountain Dartt, along with long-time group member, BJ Speer. Tracy and Sharon have just recently returned to the road after more than 2 years of patiently waiting for Tracy to get a kidney transplant, which he was blessed with in January 2011.

The Dartts travel full time throughout the USA and abroad, doing around 200 concerts a year in churches, concert halls, etc.

The Dartts' newest project is the full-length movie, "The God On The Mountain Legacy," which is currently available on DVD and has been aired on television several times and featured in Singing News Magazine and many other magazines, websites and publications. The film celebrates the inspiring legacy of Tracy's Dove-nominated song, "God On The Mountain," featuring many of the artists who have been involved with its success and some of the multitudes of people who have been touched by its message.

The First Baptist Church of Matlacha is located at 3310 SW Pine Island Road, just west of Burnt Store Road. A love offering for the Dartts will be received. The church may be reached at 239-283-2446 or mail@fbcmatlacha.org.
