Forget the "tricks" of Halloween, it's time to decorate your trunks and pull out the "treats" for the children of Pine Island!
On Sunday, Oct. 27, from 4-7 p.m., the parking lot of Winn-Dixie will be turned into the island's largest tailgating party.
Costumes and candy will be in abundance at this free, family friendly, safe alternative to trick or treating.
Cars will line the parking lot with their trunks decorated and awaiting beggars of all ages to come and enjoy not only the decorations but the unlimited amount of candy.
Pine Island Community Church has put on this alternative to house-to-house trick or treating for the community for the past 6 years. This event is free and open to the whole family.
If you would like to reserve your parking place to decorate your ride, call Pastor Heidi Grueser at 239-283-9944. All trunks, trailers, boats, bikes are welcome to participate!
