Maranatha Dance makes a difference

October 16, 2013
Pine Island Eagle

Maranatha Dance recently held a dance-a-thon with a dual purpose. Funds were raised in order for the studio's students to attend a dance workshop in Orlando and the more important cause, Grace for Chase, an effort to help a young boy diagnosed with leukemia. The energetic bunch danced their hearts out for 3 hours. Pictured are, top row, from left to right, Damietta Brewer, Kaitlyn Britt, Deanna Benson, Kim Ahlquist and Paula Himschoot; middle row, Jorie Evangelista, Mackenzie Crawford, Kim Benson, Kelli Ahlquist and Lily Kabler; and bottom row, Mackenzie Harper, Reese Thurmer, Abigail Fuller, Cyan Britt and Rylee Thurmer; plus the tiniest dancer that day, Chloe Saverino. Participants not pictured included Amber Irvine, Kara Reed, Alyssa Reed, Alli Harrell and Jiyah Sain.
