Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery to reopen Oct. 5

October 2, 2013
Pine Island Eagle

Every year, the island gears up to welcome back friends and part-time residents for the season. This year is no exception for Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery as it prepares for its grand re-opening on Saturday, Oct. 5.

This unique destination and fair trade gallery is going on its fifth year in business on the island and continues to experience growth.

"While staying true to our vision of sustainability and ethically produced items, we have expanded our line of products and services to empower people and planet," said Diane Lampitt, co-owner of Earth & Spirit Garden Gallery. "Our new inventory includes fair trade home goods, clothing, accessories, and specialty gifts from some amazing global and local partners."

The gallery has also expanded its outdoor studio space to accommodate the growing need for yoga, qi-gong, exercise classes, workshops, events, and more.

The grand re-opening will also host the first "Green Flea & Artisan Market" for the season. The market takes place on the first Saturday of each month from October June and features local artisans and crafters, recycled treasures, baked goods, restaurant food vendors, brewed fair trade coffee and mango smoothies.

Also making its premiere this season is "Express Your Spirit: A Make and Take Studio." The first workshop will be Friday, Oct. 4, 7-8:30 p.m., and will take place the first Friday of every month. Facilitated by Mary Homola, educator and pastoral leader, this engaging evening is all about discovering the creative soul within. The cost is $25 per person and includes all supplies needed to create your own masterpiece!

Lampitt concluded, "We are committed to providing our visitors with an inspiring environment and products that make a difference in the world!"
