About 40 people, mostly bank customers, gathered at SunTrust Bank before business hours recently to celebrate Patricia "Pat" La Cour's 25th anniversary.
"Obviously 25 years in any one job is special but as you all know, Pat is special," branch manager Tom Cleaver said. "It's not just how long you have been here, it's who she has been. She never has a bad day, just one of the most positive, cheerful people I've ever known in my life and Pat's dedication is unbelievable. This morning when she got here she brought her vacuum in with her so she can clean areas that the night cleaning crew can't get to."
After being introduced, SunTrust Lee County President Angela Corcoran said, "I wouldn't have missed this for the world. I just wanted to be here to say thank you to Pat. We just love you and appreciate you so much. And I'd also like to thank all all of you for coming today. What a great turnout."

"Here at the bank we often talk about 'client's first,'" Cleaver said. "But Pat embodies that and I think you can see that by all of the bank clients that came in today."
"I want to thank all of you for coming to the bank today," La Cour said. "And I want to thank my daughters for coming also."
La Cour has three daughters: Anika, Sabrina and Allenna.
"This is just a great place to work," La Cour said. "I started working here on Pine island in 1988 part-time. Because SunTrust promotes education for their employees, and also prefers to promote people from within, I was able to work my way up to the teller coordinator position. I'm very grateful for the opportunity SunTrust has offered me and my family."
Amidst hugs from those in attendance, the party came to a close just as the bank opened for business.
