George C. Williams, 88, of St. James City died June 4, 2013, at Hope Hospice.
Born Dec. 21, 1924, in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of John and Clara Williams, he was a U.S. Navy veteran for 3 years, serving in the South Pacific.
He enjoyed baseball, football and basketball but music was so rewarding to him for over 65 years, from Ohio to Florida.

He is survived by his love of his life of 66 years, Janis, who said that George was always a gentleman and a gentle man.
In addition, he is survived by three children, Danny (Pat) Williams, Marilyn (Mark) Abraham and Carolyn Muldowney; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and his brother, Paul (Mary Ellen) Williams; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Carl Brest.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday, June 15, at 10 a.m., at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish, 12175 Stringfellow Road, Bokeelia, with Father Michael Hughes officiating.
The family would prefer memorial contributions to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway Cape Coral, or to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Parish.
