SAS?students attend show

Fifth grade members of Students Achieving Success recently attended lunch and a show at Broadway Palm Theater in Fort Myers. Some of their mentors and board members from the Beacon of Hope also attended The show, "Miss Nelson is Missing," was equally enjoyed by both students and adults. SAS is a voluntary enrichment program sponsored by the Beacon of Hope. Students meet with mentors after school for three hours two days a week at Pine Island Elementary School. Third and fourth graders in the program meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Fifth graders meet on Mondays and Wednesdays. Director of the program is Becca Rose. Students pictured, from left, are David Teppins, Hunter Olson, Auryana Player, Randy Butler, Troy Melvin, and Savannah Flint. Several students were unable to attend.
