The Pine Island Alateen Family group meets Sundays at 7:30 p.m. in the Pine Island United Methodist Church youth building. Students in middle and high school are welcome to attend. Alateen is a peer support group for teens who are struggling with the effects of someone else's problem drinking. Many Alateen groups meet at the same time and location as an Al-Anon group. Alateen meetings are open only to teenagers.

The food pantry is housed in the Life Center of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church on Stringfellow Road in Bokeelia. The pantry, an equal opportunity organization, serves residences of Pine Island and greater Matlacha. Open Mondays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., closed on holidays. St. James City Boat Club
The SJCBC was formed to create an organization of boating enthusiasts in our community. Our goal is to have a small friendly boating club to enjoy social events. In doing this we promote safe and smart boating and training when needed. Events provide boating fun from island picnics to cruises to the Bahamas, keys and other places on the water. In addition, we conduct fishing, snorkeling and diving trips. To join you must agree to be on our roster system for broadcast and interactive email communications within our membership.
