Pine Island Elementary School came to life Friday evening as kids flooded the grounds to participate in the 4th annual Springfest.
Principal Rob Mazzoli said the school holds the Springfest every year to give back to the community. He said they host the event, which includes bounce houses, slides, lazer tag and many other activities, to provide a fun event for the kids and community.
"It's a good community event," Mazzoli said, while looking around and noticing that some of the kids who are now middle school students attended as well.
Lilly Overbaugh, 11, made a peace sign with her hand as Rick Eva of Wax Hand Creations dunked her hand in cold water and wax to create the design.
This year, the event also included a bike raffle for some lucky students, as well as Kona Ice for the youngsters.
Any money that was raised during the event will go towards next year's Springfest.
