Bobby Holloway Jr. Memorial Scholarship: Deadline May 15
The deadline for the Bobby Holloway Jr. Memorial Scholarship is May 15. Applications can be picked up at Stonegate Bank and Century 21. In order to apply for the scholarship a student can either be a high school graduate or continuing their education in some type of training beyond the high school level as long as they are enrolled in school.
Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island: Deadline April 8
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island is once again providing several financial college scholarships to Pine Island students. In order to qualify for a scholarship, each student must meet the following criteria: be a resident of Pine Island or attended Pine Island Elementary School. The applicant must either be currently in the senior year of high school or a high school graduate. The applicant must also be in need of financial assistance.
Application forms are available at the following locations: Mr. Tom Scheuermann's office at Mariner High School; Century 21 office at 10191 Stringfellow Road in St. James City and Pine Island Library.
The deadline for turning in the applications is April 8 at the above locations or they may be mailed (postmarked no later than April 8, 2013) to Kiwanis Scholarship Chairman, P.O. Box 111, St. James City, FL 33956.
The Kiwanis Club of Greater Pine Island is proud to offer scholarships every year to deserving island students who are furthering their education. This is one way we are able to return to the community some of the funds generated by our organization.

The Matlacha Hookers are proud to announce that the organization will be continuing its tradition of awarding scholarship grants to deserving students.
Application forms became available on Jan. 31 online at matlachahookers.org, as well as at Pine Island Chamber of Commerce, Pine Island Library, Trader's Hitching Post or at any Pine Island bank.
Applications must be postmarked no later than April 12.
Matlacha Mariners/Miss Judy Education Scholarship: Deadline June 1
In 2013, the Matlacha Mariners will present up to six scholarships of $2,500 each to qualified applicants. Scholarships may be used for tuition, books, or other acceptable facets of education at either a certification or licensing program or toward a college degree. Notification of scholarship winners will be made by the first week in July.
Please submit completed applications to the following address before the deadline of June 1, 2013.

Pine Island Moose: Deadline April 16
The Pine Island Moose 1954 will be awarding several scholarships to Pine Island high school seniors. The scholarship recipients must be Pine Island residents attending one of the west zone Lee County high schools. The student must be graduating and will be attending a school of higher learning (educational or vocational).
